This is the third month that I’ve received my Ipsy Glam Bag subscription, and let me just say that there is nothing more exciting than a metallic pink package arriving in the mail every month (#Packagingonpoint) with mysterious beauty goodies inside, and addressed specifically to me. If you don’t know what a Glam Bag is, it’s a beauty subscription company that sends you a makeup bag every month with 5 travel sized high end beauty products for you at only $10/mo.! It was a real take-my-money moment when I looked into it. Some of my favorite products that I’ve received so far have been Glam Glow and Tarte LipSurgence in Wonder. If you’re dabbling with the idea about getting one yourself, I’d advise you to avoid hesitation and just get to the metallic pink package already. Subscribe dangit!
Welcome to my June Ipsy Glam Bag unboxing!
This months makeup bag is my least favorite. The grunge graffiti is not really my style so I will probably not be putting it in my purse this month to hold my touch up makeup. But I must say the April Glam Bag has been my favorite thus far.
1 | Urban Decay Lounge Eyeshadow ($19)
THE REVIEW: The Urban Decay Lounge Eyeshadow is a bit dark for my daytime makeup, but I swatched it on the back of my hand and wow! It’s iridescent and shimmery and shines with so many different colors. Gold, green, blue… Makes me want call the girls up and go out dancing just so I can wear it!
2 | Boo Boo Coverup Healing Concealer ($20)
THE REVIEW: I tried the Boo Boo Coverup this morning when applying my makeup and I must say the consistency is nice, applies very smoothly to the skin, it isn’t cakey and it is blendable with your foundation. AND! With ingredients like tea tree oil, aloe vera, chamomile and green tea it helps to heal your blemishes while wearing it! How genius is that!? This shade however did not match my skin very well and was a bit on the lighter side which tends to make me look like I spent my time pinning on Pinterest at 1 in the morning, rather than sleeping. Which may or may not have been the case last night.
The Seraphine Botanicals blush is pretty good. I like that this shade can be used as a bronzer and a blush, which is always great to save some time for me in the morning. 😉 The texture is good and seems to last for a while but I think my favorite part about this product is that it’s 95% natural, vegan, paraben free, hypoallergenic and not tested on animals!
4 | ColourPop Crème Gel Liner Swerve ($5)
THE REVIEW: This ColorPop eyeliner is probably one of my favorites from the entire bag. As soon as I got it, I swatched it on the back of my hand. The pigment is on fleek, and did. not. smudge. when I tried to rub the streak. Pretty great after all day wear, but does seem to fall a tiny bit. I’d suggest it simply because the price is right for a great product.
THE REVIEW: And my least favorite… The BioRepublic Sheet Masks. 🙁 Full disclosure: this was my first sheet mask, so it might not be the products fault, but I was not a fan of the slimy texture while looking like I’m a character from a Jason movie. The directions said that you don’t have to wash your face post mask but I just had to. My face felt smooth and soft but I don’t know if I saw enough of a difference to make these worth it.
Hopefully you found some of this useful! Next month’s Glam Bag coming soon!
